Our team's vast experience means we are best placed to advise and inform on all aspects of your property related requirements - be it buying, selling, renting or letting.

Renown’s management team comprises Paul Reynolds, Katherine Reynolds & Paul Booth all of whom have extensive experience in the industry and bring different skills and expertise to the firm. With over 90 years working in estate agency and property management between them, they can be relied upon to give good, sensible advice on property and related matters particular to the Cramlington area.

Paul Reynolds (FNAEA)

Regional Chairman of the National Association of Estate Agents, Paul has been in estate agency since 1973 having worked for some major agents in Newcastle before moving to Cramlington in 1977. With extensive knowledge of and experience in the local property market, Paul is the main point of contact for sales within Renown. Being a director of the Cramlington Development Trust and a prominent member of the Cramlington Leasehold Campaign, Paul also takes an active lead in local matters and is a governorat Hareside Primary School.

Katherine Reynolds

Paul's daughter joined the firm in 1999 and is now company director of Renown Estate Agents Ltd. With excellent knowledge of the local property market and town in general, Katherine is primarily involved with sales; from the initial marketing of properties right through to completions. She also assists with the busy rentals and property management side of the business. Interested in keep fit, Katherine enjoys travelling - especially to the warmer Mediterranean climes.

Paul Booth (MARLA)

As letting director, Paul is wholly involved in all parts of the property management side of the business. Undertakes most rental valuation and advice meetings with landlords whilst handling all day to day matters with both landlord and tenants. Has over 20 years' experience in the industry having joined Renown in 2003 from Halifax Property Services. A keen footballer (still!), regularly playing 5-a-side and over 40s 11-a-side whilst enjoying a round of golf when time allows.

Meet the Team

The two Pauls and Katherineare are supported by Denise, Tracy and Joanne, all of whom share a good level of experience and local knowledge. Key to that is the establishment of close working relationships with vendors, buyers, landlords and tenants and all are well place to give the right advice and service without being pushy or driven by corporate targets.

Denise Ackroyd

Denise has worked for Renown since 1998 but has 27 years experience in the industry. Denise's role is mainly as a sales negotiator where her experience and knowledge allows her to discuss property matters with both clients and professionals. Also assists with some property management administration, Denise too likes travelling and is enjoying her (relatively) new role as a 'Grandma' to two grandchildren.
Joanne James

The newest member of our team, Joanne joined us in 2022 and comes with an abundance of experience from her time at Pat Robson in the lettings market, taking up her role at Renown as a Lettings Administrator. Joanne has a sound knowledge of the area living locally and has two young children, keeping her active!
Tracy Lee

As lettings administrator, Tracy is responsible for much of the property management administration while also handling prospective tenant enquiries & viewings. Primary contact for tenants with maintenance issues and will liaise with landlords re maintenance and general property / tenancy matters. New to the firm in 2019, Tracy enjoys watching her son and daughter play junior football on the weekends (despite some cold mornings).

A Brief History

At Renown, we pride ourselves on the experience and knowledge we have in the firm. Whilst originally started back in 1983, founder Paul Reynolds has been working in estate agency in Cramlington since 1977!

Here’s a brief timeline detailing our keys milestones between then and now...

1983

Paul Reynolds & Margaret Brown set up 'Reynolds & Brown' trading from premises in the Old Parish Hall, Cramlington (which is now Coversure)

1988

Five sucessful years later, 'Reynolds & Brown' was sold to Park Estates

1990

Combining their Surnames ('Reynolds' and 'Brown'), Paul and Margaret then started up again, as 'Renown' initially based in Seaton Delaval.

1991

Renown returns to Cramlington, trading from the original part of what is now, Blagdon House

1992

The full purchase of the Blagdon House building was made

1995

Margaret Brown retires from the business and Paul continues Renown as a sole trader, extending the building to add more office space

1998

Denise Ackroyd joins the firm as Sales Negotiator, having previously worked for Park Estates and Alan Moon Estate Agents

1999

Katherine Reynolds (Paul’s daughter) joins the company from Gateshead Council Housing Department, as a Sales Negotiator

2003

Paul Booth joins Renown from Halifax Estate Agents as Lettings Manager. Later, rentals was split off, with property management services being added to the roster and incorporating as Renown Property Management Ltd

2005

Paul Barwick joins the firm from Lloyds Bank, initially to provide Commercial services. Rapid growth of the new Ltd saw his focus switch to managing the property management arm and finances of the company

2012

Renown open a second office in Bedlington, but the venture was short lived, closing in 2014

2014

Paul Reynolds is awarded a Hounoured Fellowship at the College of Fellows in recognition for services to Estate Agency, and later, founds The Cramlington Leasehold Information Group

2016

Paul Reynolds is appointed as Director of the Cramlington Developement Trust

2019

Tracey Lee joins Renown as a Lettings Administrator, having previously worked for a local landlord managing a small portfolio
